The process of painting a token

Some of you, not all of you, might be curious to see the progress of a token from start to finish. It’s not the best of examples and it does not try to cover the methods of painting a token in photoshop. It simply shows 9 saves along the way from start to finish, when painting the most recent token, the Siren. Click the link below to open up the image in a new window.

  1. Raymond, thanks for sharing your creative process — it is always fascinating to gain a behind-the-scenes look into an artist’s work =)

    1. Thanks, I might even do some screen recordings of the process sometime soon, and post it here. I just gotta find a better software than the one I used earlier.

      1. That is a great idea — I have seen some digital artists do a time-lapse video of their process, so that could be really cool =)

Any kind of videos with voice over that could maybe talk us through your thoughts/ideas as you rough out and fill in the models would be equally fascinating =)

Tips and tricks that you have picked up over your extensive career would be also really interesting =)

Basically anything you can spare your time for would be really interesting to follow (a Youtube channel *hint *hint 😉

  2. This really was awesome to see! thanks for taking the extra time to put it up for us. I love it!

    1. Thanks! There will be more step-by-step previews for token creations later on.
